The most common form of asbestos roofing was a corrugated fibro product manufactured by James Hardie Ltd called “Super Six” if you have an asbestos roof, you’re probably wondering whether it’s worth the expense to have it removed and replaced with asbestos-free material. The more weathered your roof gets, the more risk there is of deterioration, which might expose your family and neighbors to harmful asbestos fibers.
DO NOT wash it down using high-pressure water or clean it off using compressed air;
DO NOT use anything abrasive on it that may score or break the surface, such as stiff brooms, wire brushes, sandpaper, metal scrapers, etc;
NEVER cut it or break it;
DO NOT drill it; and
DO NOT walk on it!
